Miami Beach Food and Art Deco Walking Tour

Our tour was a very enjoyable experience with our tour guide Faruk. We had great food at each location and Faruk was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. This was one of the best highlights of our trip to Miami and we would highly recommend this tour.

The guide was courteous, respectful and friendly. He was also thorough in explaining the cultural part of South beach's cuisine and it's architecture. I will recommend this tour to friends and family.

Our tour guide, Faruk was amazing. So personable, he made everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. He was so knowledgeable not only in the restaurants we went to, but also about Miami, it's art deco, it's people, it culture...just amazing! The food samples were delish and the restaurants he took us to, were beautiful with the nicest people. I highly recommend taking this tour the first day arriving in Miami, so you will get familiar with the area, the restaurants and places to see. Wear comfortable shoes because there will be a lot of waking, sooo worth it! I am doing this again next time I am in Miami!

Excellent guide who took us to interesting places. Guide had deep understanding of both US history/culture and European history/culture, giving him the advantage of putting matters in perspective. Handled questions well.

This was a great way to get to know the South Beach area of Miami Beach. The tour involved a sample of food at 4 different restaurants in the area and finished with hand made ice cream at a local ice cream shop. The restaurants included cuban, argentinian, algerian and brazilian. What I liked was that the restaurants were also family owned operations. Farouk, the tour guide was quite informative about the history of the area. If I would have a negative about the tour, it ran a bit long at close to 3 ½ hours. Some of the street stops to provide their history could have been slimmed down and the last stop, while nice, could have been left off.

We had a fun Saturday night starting with an excellent cup and discussion of different Cuban coffees, followed by samples at numerous small and interesting local restaurants. While walking in between restaurants our very personable host filled us in on Miami history and architecture. High points were a stop at a restaurant on Espanola Way with the yellow Trumpet trees in bloom, and a delicious dessert. I would highly recommend not only for the food, but for the good conversation.

The guide was so knowledgeable, we had a great time and tasted many delicious things. I highly recommend this to anyone. We have been starting our visits to cities with a walking food tour, we find it gives us a great introduction to the city and knowledge of foodie places.
