The canyon is beyond belief, just beautiful. The driver Jack was fun, very chatty and full of interesting facts, and useless info (his words), and lots of funny jokes. The ranch is charming and I’d love to live there myself. I would recommend this tour to everyone.
Big thumbs up to Skip and Gerry, they were perfect hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour with them. Skip was a wealth of information and shared his knowledge with humour and warmth. Its such a beautiful area of the country, everyone should see it.
Red Rock Canyon was spectacular!! We couldn’t have had better weather. Alan was an excellent tour guide, very informative, very polite and friendly. The additional “tidbits” of history and habitat Alan provided about Red Rock made it even better!
I would have enjoyed this tour if not for Adam, the guide. First of all, he came 30 minutes early! I had confirmed several times at booking and confirmation, the correct pick up time. He said, when asked, “I like to get an early start”. Thank goodness I am chronically ready early. He was so opinionated, I had to call him on it. He denied that he was being critical or making fun of homeless people, homeless people having pets, mentally ill people and service dogs. He was heartless. Everyone gets to have an opinion. My point is that in a public forum, the guide has to keep their politics and social commentary to themselves. Visitors don’t pay to have differing opinions shoved down their throat continuously. I can get that from TV. Also, to use some examples, the word nucular, instead of nuclear, huh? Electrical instead of electoral college, what? Many others. I spent three weeks touring Arizon, Utah and Las Vegas area. I went on many tours. Sometimes two a day. Of all the tours and guides, this was my least favorite. It wasn’t because of content or beauty. It was because of the most annoying guide I have ever been subjected to.
Our guide Allen made the tour, he kept us well hydrated with lots of icy cold water, whenever we needed it and was full of wonderful information about every place we traveled. He kept the tour moving and fun. Could not believe he remembered everyone's name on the tour. Made it personal and friendly. The stops were well timed. Great tour.
This tour exceeded our expectations. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough and it is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the Vegas strip without going too far. Our tour guide Ralph looked after us throughout the day with unlimited cold bottles of water and a well air conditioned bus. Ralph was a minefield of information and knew the area very well. Our first stop on the tour was the Red Rock Canyon visitor centre where there is a gift shop, wandering tortoises and lots of information about the canyon. On the 13 mile scenic trail there were numerous viewpoint stops where you get the opportunity to get out of the vehicle and wander closer to the rocks. Time is given at each stop to explore so be prepared to do some walking and wear appropriate footwear. There are lots of photo opportunities on this tour and Ralph would stop the bus at the slightest point of interest whether it was a petroglyph, Joshua tree or better view of the canyon. A picnic lunch of sandwiches and snacks is provided and we had this al fresco in the grounds of a ranch that we later visited before heading back to Vegas.
