When was the last time you snapped a few photos with lifelike, 3D drawings? If the answer is never, then make time to tour this museum when visiting Playa del Carmen. Created by a visionary American artist, this fascinating museum is truly in a genre and mind-bending class of its own. Stare in wonder at 3D drawings that seem to pop off the wall, and get interactive by touching, standing, and even posing with the drawings. It doesn’t take long for reality to blend with art that’s up on the wall, and pretty soon you’re laying in a pool and splashing beneath a waterfall, or surfing a wave, rowing a boat, or trapped inside of a bubble. There are over 60 different drawings here inside the 3D Museum of Wonders, so be sure to bring a fully-charged camera to capture the hundreds of photos!
Most visitors spend between 1.5-2 hours exploring the 60+ drawings. The entire museum is air-conditioned and enclosed, so it also makes for a comfortable escape from the heat or rainy days. All photography, including flash, is allowed inside the museum.
